Overview
Client:  Gas Station Industry

Project Type:  Service Design Research & Blueprinting

My Role: Service Designer

Team:  Individual Project

Tools: Figma, Miro
Problem
Gas refueling stations are used commonly by people all over the world everyday, however, the basic service has not seen a significant improvement in a long time. There are many pain points that we all learn to live with when we need to refill on gas.  Currently there really isn't a lot that gas station companies do to stand out from one another experience-wise.
Solution
Conduct an in-depth analysis of the complete service and surrounding ecosystem to better understand customer frustrations, infrastructure roadblocks, and where the overall service can be improved. Map out these findings on a blueprint along with identified opportunities for gas station companies to improve their service and stand out.
Design Process
This project was a unique one for me that required a lot of hands on and in-person data collection and research. I started by collecting a massive amount of data concerning every touch point I found. Then I spent weeks synthesizing that data using different tried and true methods. Once I had pulled all the information I could from data I mapped it all out in a service blueprint and brainstormed an improved future state of the service.
